Phase Two of National US Healthcare Provider System Goes Live
March 29, 2007 (Cork, Ireland)
DeCare Systems Ireland (DSI), a leading software development and Internet solutions provider, announced today the implementation of phase two of an Internet-based national healthcare provider system for a leading network of healthcare insurers in the United States.
The 39 insurance companies who make up the network and who provide insurance coverage for 45 million US citizens use the DSI developed system to retrieve healthcare provider fee information to assist in pricing insurance claims. The system provides a secure online system-to-system interface allowing enterprise claim processing systems to process data securely and efficiently.
Taking under a year to develop and implement, phase two successfully completes the transition from a legacy mainframe model to an enhanced national provider system. The DSI designed and developed Spring-powered Java platform provides additional innovative functionality enhancements including:
· Browser based update capability facilitating immediate real time updates and increased responsiveness for insurance companies in making their provider updates.
· Advanced reporting capabilities for provider information maintenance such as on demand delivery of reports to end users (provider relations, marketing) to improve staff efficiencies at the insurance companies.
· The addition of new claim processing information for insurance companies and enhanced provider directory attributes.
The completion of phase two requirements allows for significant operational efficiencies and improved responsiveness to the network of healthcare insurers. DSI’s market presence as a healthcare solution provider has never been so strong as they currently build dental systems for four of the largest dental insurance companies in the United States.
