(Cork, Ireland) September 6 2007 - DeCare Systems Ireland Ltd, a leading software development and Internet solutions provider, today announced the release of a significant upgrade for their long standing client and leading fine foods and gifts purveyor, Figis.com. The upgrade involved migrating their online store database and web servers to a Windows 2003 and SQL Server 2005 platform. In addition, this new set up was made PCI Data Security compliant, meeting strict standards that protect credit card encryption and storing of personal customer information. DSI worked with Figi’s to implement a sophisticated web services design to isolate the encryption process and create segmentation of duties, thus further securing their online systems. As retailers move into the detailed planning phase of their Christmas ‘07campaign, Figi’s customers are reassured the systems which process and store their details and transaction information are protected.
