DSI Helps Online Retailers Tap Into Selling Power of iPhone™ Applications

A demo of the DSI built ‘iDeal A Day’ iPhone™ application is now available.

(Cork, Ireland) April 23rd, 2009- For multi-channel retailers, the latest generation of iPhones™ and mobile phones offer screen sizes and functionality that now makes mobile commerce a viable channel. Leveraging one of the most popular Apple® innovations ever, DSI has built an 'iDeal A Day' iPhone™ application that sends deals from an online store direct to customer’s iPhones™.

The idea is simple and in practice it's even simpler. 'iDeal A Day' sells one item per offer until it is sold out or until the deal is replaced. The deal is presented to the iPhone™ user and with a few simple taps the purchase is made. On the checkout page 'iDeal A Day' confirms the order plus gives customers a sneak peak of the following deal, ahead of other bargain hunters!

'iDeal A Day' iPhone™ application can be branded to each particular retailer and lets online stores easily establish their mobile presence using their existing web assets. The 'iDeal A Day' concept reflects just one implementation of a promotion type and can be customised to suit the individual retailers offers. A brief demo of the generic version of the ‘iDeal A Day’ iPhone™ application is now available at www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqhD75Bd8_Y

Further details on the application will be available shortly. Meanwhile contact DeCare Systems Ireland on the following numbers for more information:
