Leading Software Providers Launch Partnership

Alliance to Offer New Business Information Management System and Software Development Services

(Cork, Ireland) Friday, January 16, 2008 - DeCare Systems Ireland Ltd (DSI), a project delivery company focused on providing business solutions using Java and C# .Net, and Cake Solutions Ltd, J2EE and Open Source software development specialists, officially launched their partnership today at Spring eXchange 2008 held at The Crypt, St. James Church, London.

The partnership is formed around a jointly developed business information management system, a solution to help enterprises get closer to their customers by taking a unique approach of merging document management with contact management. The establishment of the partnership formalises and expands an earlier initiative in which the partners designed and developed this system for the UK Trade & Investment government agency. The custom-built application is used across its network of 2,300 staff and advisors internally (at department level) and externally (by all overseas embassies) to locate up to date, attributable and accurate information. The system facilitates a continuous interaction between content and contacts, to the mutual benefit of both, and to the benefit of the public perception of the organisation.

Based on the success of this project, the alliance will see both companies partner on similar implementations as well as develop enterprise-class software solutions. “In working together on the UKTI implementation, we soon realised the synergies that existed between the organisations could provide for a continued successful collaboration,” said John Murphy, DSI’s General Manager. “The partnership will leverage DSI’s proven technical excellence and project delivery skills as well as Cake Solutions’ technical project management expertise to deliver innovative enterprise-class solutions that are highly available, secure and scalable.

“The relationship between DSI and Cake has been unique, our respective skills and ability to seamlessly work together allow us to provide a proven first class delivery vehicle for leading edge enterprise level systems”, said Guy Remond, Managing Director of Cake Solutions. “The collaboration offers innovation, agility, technical and project management expertise which, in the UKTI project, has delivered a next generation knowledge management solution.”
