DeCare
Systems Ireland to Present at UK Oracle User Group Conference
2007
CORK, IRELAND – 24 July 2007
- DeCare Systems Ireland Ltd,
a leading software development and Internet solutions provider,
today announced that the company will be presenting at the
UK Oracle User Group (UKOUG) Conference
2007. The annual conference will take place from December
3rd to 6th at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham.
With the emergence of virtualised environments as a real
alternative to the more traditional 'hard' machine deployments,
monitoring Java applications running across a virtualised
server environment is a key issue. Representing DeCare Systems
Ireland Ltd, Jason
Barry, Performance Architect, will present Stress
Testing and Performance Monitoring in a Virtualised Environment".
Jason will demonstrate how a Java application can be deployed
to a virtualised environment and then scaled to meet almost
any expected, or unexpected, load. This presentation will
also show how this environment can be stressed, monitored
and subsequently analysed using market leading tools like
Quest
PerformaSure and Apache JMeter.
The core technologies of interest in the presentation include
Amazon
Web Services (AWS) Elastic Computing (EC2), Quest Software's
PerformaSure,
Apache JMeter
and Oracle's JEE Container (OC4J).
"Finding out how to leverage these virtualised environments
will allow us to reduce development costs, reduce time to
market and guarantee the scalability of our software deliverables,
commented John Murphy, General Manager, DeCare Systems Ireland.
Having this paper accepted for the UK Oracle User's
Group conference is recognition of just some of the industry
leading work we are doing here in DeCare Systems Ireland.
Chosen from over 720 submissions, Jasons presentation
will be one of 300 sessions over the four day event. Now in
its nineteenth year, UKOUG 2007 provides attendees with a
comprehensive program of educational presentations and panel
discussions designed to foster the exchange of ideas and best
practices for successfully leveraging Oracle, PeopleSoft,
JD Edwards, Siebel and Stellent solutions.
